Bateson Transport Trailers

The range of hydraulic tilt transport trailers comprises of three models, the lightest 22-15 with a capacity of 1560kg, the 27-16 with a capacity of 2035kg and is suitable for most cars and light commercial vehicles and the 35-16 with a capacity of 2670kg and is suitable for larger 4x4s, plant and machinery.

All models have a full floor panelled with 18mm phenol ply which tilts back hydraulically to provide a low approach angle, enabling vehicles with front spoilers and low ground clearance to be loaded with ease.

The chassis is hot dipped galvanised with integral mudguards, which are strong enough to stand on and low enough to open car doors over. The body is tilted by means of a hydraulic cylinder and hand pump and can be lowered at a controlled rate.

Standard equipment includes full width axles with independent rubber suspension, auto-reversing over-run brakes, full road lights, front jockey wheel, spare wheel, hand winch, front adjustable wheel chock and 12 load securing points.

A hitch lock, load securing straps and a 12v electric winch are available as optional extras.

The Platform tilt transporter trailers have a very low desk height of 550mm which allows a low loading angle and a low centre of gravity whilst allowing a maximum platform width.

Full width galvanised axles with rubber suspension and rated at 1500kg each are fitted and have auto reversing over-run brakes on every wheel. The front axles raise just 40mm when tilted to allow the rear axle to compress and all remain in contact with the ground. The wheels and tyres are195-55 x 10, 5 stud with a spare wheel under the deck. Steel outer floor sections incorporate punched tyre grips and load securing points. The centre floor section is 18mm phenol coated non-slip floor ply.

All trailers are supplied with a manual hydraulic tilt pump, front jockey wheel, full road lights with white front markers and amber side marker lamps. A 750mm high ramp is fitted to provide a constant approach angle, supported by lift out rear corner posts. Front and centre sockets are provided to accept an optional headboard and triple hinged sides.
